The FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) 2024-25 season, hosted by ATLAB, a subsidiary of the Centena Group, in collaboration with FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and LEGO® Education, announced the national winners from across the UAE during the grand finale of the ‘CHALLENGE’ category on February 9, 2025. The awards recognised young innovators from 42 participating teams for their exceptional creativity, problem-solving skills and teamwork in robotics and STEM.

Dubai, UAE, February 10, 2025 – ne’ma, the National Food Loss and Waste Initiative, and Taste of Dubai are collaborating to expand efforts in food waste reduction in the UAE’s event scene. Building on the success of their first partnership on Taste of Abu Dhabi 2024, ne’ma helped divert 310 kilograms of food waste from landfills, prevented 775 kilograms of CO2e greenhouse gas emissions, and created 62 kilograms of compost; this collaboration will bring impactful sustainability initiatives to one of Dubai’s most anticipated culinary festivals, and set a precedent for major events and festivals in the region.

تتعاون المبادرة الوطنية للحد من فقد وهدر الغذاء “نعمة” مع منظمي مهرجان “مذاق دبي 2025” لتكثيف جهودها للتوعية بأهمية تقليل هدر الغذاء في الدولة. يقام مهرجان “مذاق دبي” في الفترة من 14 إلى 16 فبراير 2025 في مسرح مدينة دبي للإعلام، وهو واحد من أبرز الفعاليات المجتمعية في الإمارات، حيث يستقطب أكثر من 25 ألف زائر. وطوال الأيام الثلاثة للمهرجان، ستعمل “نعمة” بشكل وثيق مع الطهاة والمطاعم والبائعين المشاركين لإدارة الهدر الغذائي بشكل فعال، وتثقيف الزوار حول الطرق العملية للحد من الهدر في حياتهم اليومية.
