On Friday, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA); launched the Centre for Arabic Studies at Portugal’s prestigious University of Coimbra. This landmark initiative, the first of its kind in Portugal, is dedicated to teaching the Arabic language and culture, housed within one of Europe’s oldest and most renowned academic institutions.

Middle East Space Economy Projected to Reach $34 Billion by 2030: Beyond Earth Ventures Unveils New Trend Report Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, and Bahrain Drive the Region’s Transition from Symbolic Missions to a Multi-Billion Dollar Space Economy

(Dubai, UAE – 1 October) – The Middle East space economy, valued at $18 billion in 2024, is projected to almost double and reach $34 billion by 2030, according to the new report by Beyond Earth Ventures. The study shows that Saudi Arabia will account for nearly half of this total, driven by its $8.7 billion space economy in 2024 and a projected trajectory to $31.6 billion by 2035.
