2 December 2023, ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, today awarded the winners of the Zayed Sustainability Prize, the UAE’s pioneering global award in sustainability and humanitarianism, during a ceremony held at COP28 UAE in Expo City Dubai.

The Ceremony was attended by numerous heads of delegations participating in COP28, ministers, senior government officials, and Prize winners and finalists.

Citi GPS Report Outlines How to Mobilize Climate and Development Finance during COP28

Second GPS Report Highlights Global Challenges from Food Security, Water Scarcity and Climate

Dubai, UAE – As the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) begins in Dubai, Citi Global Perspectives and Solutions (GPS) will publish two reports titled ‘Unlocking Climate and Development Finance: Creating Bankable Projects’ and ‘Food, Water, Climate Nexus.’

The first report looks at how to increase the flow of money into the geographies, industries, and projects where it can make a difference while generating a suitable risk-adjusted return. Traditionally, the explanation for the insufficient mobilization of finance has been the mismatch between the risk appetite of the capital and the risk profile of the projects. While facilitating capital flows is well understood, more bankable and investable projects are needed.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 30 November 2023: Dubai Holding, a diversified global investment company with operations in 13 countries and a Principal Pathway Partner at the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), is set to host a series of engaging talks and presentations from 3 to 12 December 2023, at Expo City Dubai.

Four daily informative talks and presentations, hosted at Dubai Holding’s showcase space, will offer attendees a comprehensive overview of Dubai Holding’s sustainability initiatives, including design and construction, waste management, community development and hospitality. Aiming to foster awareness and drive engagement on climate action, the programme will also include a number of inspiring talks with expert speakers from local and international companies.
