of Xposure International Photography Awards

Globally recognised awards acknowledge photographers for their technical proficiency and creative brilliance receiving over 25,000 entries from 190 countries.


Sharjah, March 03, 2024

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council (SMC), acknowledged the outstanding contributions of photographers at the 8th edition of the Xposure International Photography Awards. The awarding ceremony, held on Sunday, March 3, served as a platform to honour and recognise the exceptional talents within the global photography community.

In the presence of HE Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), winners and runner-ups were presented their awards in 10 diverse categories, as well as an overall winner, all sharing part of an impressive prize pool of $60,000.

Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and the Environment (MOCCAE), stated that the ‘Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative’ is a groundbreaking initiative launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE. The initiative will pave the way for providing innovative solutions to enhance global water security.

Her Excellency highlighted: “Currently, around 2.2 billion people worldwide face challenges in accessing safely managed drinking water. In the Arab region, 90% of the population is affected by water scarcity. Therefore, it is crucial for governments to prioritize enhancing water security.”
