IGCF 2024 set to welcome over 250 global communication experts and leaders on 4-5 September

During his visit to Expo Centre Sharjah to oversee the final preparations for the 13th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2024), scheduled for 4-5 September, His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), highlighted the forum’s pivotal role in reinforcing Sharjah’s position as a preferred destination for hosting and organising international events. He also engaged in discussions with the directors of SGMB and the event organisers to review the latest developments and ensure all preparations are on track.

الجمعية الوطنية للتصلب المتعدد تطلق برنامج التدريب الإبداعي بالتعاون مع منصة دروازة للفنون

  • تطلق الجمعية الوطنية للتصلب المتعدد في دولة الإمارات برنامج التدريب الإبداعي بالتعاون مع منصة دروازة للفنون.
  • صمم البرنامج، الذي يمتد لشهرين، للمهتمين بالفنون من المتعايشين مع التصلب المتعدد والحالات الصحية المشابهة.
  •  يقوم البرنامج بتطوير مهارات المشاركين الإبداعية، ومساعدتهم على بناء روابط مجتمعية، والتوعية بالتصلب المتعدد.

أبوظبي، 2 سبتمبر 2024: أطلقت الجمعية الوطنية للتصلب المتعدد في دولة الإمارات برنامجًا فنيًا سنويًا بالتعاون مع منصة دروازة الإبداعية للفنون للمهتمين بالفنون من المتعايشين مع التصلب المتعدد والحالات المزمنة المشابهة. وسيتم اختيار أربعة مشاركين من مختلف أنحاء الإمارات للمشاركة في البرنامج الذي يمتد لشهرين، ليتم تدريبهم من قبل فريق دروازة على البحث وعمل القيّم الفني. يهدف البرنامج إلى تطوير مهارات التقييم، بدءاً من الفكرة وصولاً إلى السرد والتخطيط للمعارض، وفي الوقت نفسه يسعى لرفع الوعي حول التصلب المتعدد.

ويوفر البرنامج، الذي صممته منصة دروازة وهي حاضنة إبداعية وشريك مشاريع مقرها أبوظبي، أسستها منيرة الصايغ، فرصًا فريدةً للنمو الشخصي والمهني في مجال الفنون للمتعايشين مع التصلب المتعدد، وسيعمل على تمكين المشاركين فيه من استخدام الفن كأداة فاعلة للتعبير وبناء المجتمع، ووسيلة لسرد القصص الملهمة، كما سيدعم مجتمع التصلب المتعدد ويزيد المعرفة به.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Dirwaza Curatorial Lab Launch Arts Apprenticeship Program

Abu Dhabi, September 2, 2024 — The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) has launched an annual Arts Apprenticeship program in collaboration with Dirwaza Curatorial Lab, an Abu Dhabi-based creative incubator and projects partner, founded by Munira Al Sayegh. The program is designed for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and similar chronic conditions. The apprenticeship spans two months and four participants will be selected from across the UAE, to be trained by the Dirwaza Curatorial Lab team      on curatorial thinking and research . The aim is to develop curatorial skills, from ideating to storytelling and planning for an exhibition, while simultaneously raising awareness about MS.

Sharjah Ruler inaugurates the ‘Arabic Cultural Institute’ in Milan, marking a historic first in Italy

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah, officially inaugurated the Arabic Cultural Institute at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, Italy, on Friday.

His Highness was received by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Divisional Senior Vice President, International Affairs at Emirates Airline, HE Abdulla Ali Al Saboosi, Ambassador of the UAE to the Italian Republic, HE Nasser Al-Qahtani, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Italian Republic, HE Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, CEO of SBA, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Dr. Sultan Al Amimi, Chairman of the Emirates Writers Union, HE Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, and Issa Abbas, Director General of the Sharjah Archaeology Authority. The gathering also included senior officials and editors-in-chief from UAE newspapers.

WFP AND CHOITHRAMS JOIN FORCES TO SHARE THE MEAL FOR ZERO HUNGER

The campaign stresses the crucial role of private sector partnerships in the fight against global hunger

Dubai: Choithrams, one ofDubai’s favourite retailers, is once again stepping up to tackle global hunger in collaboration with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). The “Share the meal for Zero Hunger” initiative, launched today, is a four-month awareness and fundraising campaign in support of WFP’s efforts to reach zero hunger by 2030,  in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The  campaign runs from September 1 to December 31, 2024, and aims to rally community support across the UAE.
