Resonance: An Artistic Tribute to Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood
Dubai, UAE, 3 February 2024: Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), in collaboration with Alserkal Arts Foundation, has unveiled Resonance, a site-specific installation in Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood. The artwork is part of the Dubai Public Art Strategy, which aims to introduce unique artistic experiences to enhance Dubai’s global reputation, enrich its creative identity, and transform the city into an accessible open-air gallery.
The reveal took place during the 13th Sikka Art & Design Festival, held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture. Organised by Dubai Culture as part of the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy, the festival supports pioneering and emerging artists from the UAE and the Gulf region, providing them with a platform to showcase their work and enrich Dubai’s artistic landscape.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has inaugurated the Sharjah Public Libraries (SPL) centennial celebration under the theme ‘100 Years of Stories’. The official ceremony, held at the historic Sharjah Fort (Al Hisn), commemorates 100 years since Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr bin Khalid Al Qasimi established Sharjah’s first library.
A Special Edition of Dialogue on the Future of Sustainability

This special edition event marked a dynamic start to EEG’s 2025 calendar, bringing together students, academics, and industry leaders to engage in a meaningful dialogues on one of the most pressing issues of our time. In a city renowned for innovation and holistic living, Dubai played host to a groundbreaking mental well-being event on World Meditation Day, on 21-Dec-2024 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel on Saturday evening. Organized by the Wellness and Wisdom Center LLC, the two-hour event brought together global thought leaders, mental health professionals, and wellness enthusiasts, to spark a dialogue on resilience, mindfulness, and innovative approaches to holistic well-being.
The highlight of the event was an advanced resilience training session led by Dr. Ishan Shivanand, a globally recognized mental health innovator. “Mental health is a birthright. Addressing mental health challenges has become furthermore critical,” said Dr. Shivanand. “This event underscores a higher mission to make mental resilience tools accessible to all while fostering a culture of holistic wellness.”
During this occasion, Dr. Ishan Shivanand was felicitated by Dr. Subrata Mukherjee, President of Indian Business Professional Council (IBPC RAK) and Shri Rajashekharan Jambulingam, Treasurer, Dubai Renewable Energy (DREBG) for the contribution of the mental health in the Dubai and UAE.
