Sheikha Bodour honors 98 AUS employees for years of service at Staff Appreciation Dinner

Sharjah, UAE, June 13, 2024 – Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of American University of Sharjah (AUS), recently honored the dedication and commitment of long-serving AUS employees, acknowledging their steadfast efforts throughout the year.

Ninety-eight employees received recognition at the annual Staff Appreciation Dinner, with 500 AUS staff attending. Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour recognized 16 staff members who have worked at AUS for 25 years, 62 staff who have worked for 20 years and 20 who have worked for 15 years.

June 13, Abu Dhabi, UAE — The Supreme Academic Council of Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities (MBZUH), chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Abdallah bin Bayyah, discussed strengthening the university’s academic progress, scientific outputs, and future plans in the fields of the humanities and social sciences.

The council also reviewed presentations on new university projects, academic programs, and upcoming conferences. The academic session is expected to last until the end of this year.

This year’s winners will share a $50,000 prize fund and will be invited to the World Schools Summit, to be held in Dubai on November 23-24, 2024.

Sharjah, June 9, 2024: American University of Sharjah (AUS) celebrated the achievements of 753 of its graduating students in its Spring 2024 commencement ceremonies held on June 8. Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of AUS, conferred the degrees on graduate and undergraduate students during one session in the morning and another in the afternoon in University City Hall in Sharjah, recognizing their years of commitment to their education.

Canadian University Dubai partners with Global University Systems Canada to create pathways to medical schools


Agreement provides BSc in Public Health graduates with direct entry to North American medicine programs

Mr. Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, Chancellor of Canadian University Dubai and Ms. Cyndi McLeod, CEO of Global University Systems Canada, at the MoU signing 

June 06,2024, Dubai, UAE:  Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has signed a ground-breaking agreement with Global University Systems Canada, to provide students with a structured pathway to enter one of three medical schools in North America. Under the partnership, graduates of CUD’s Bachelor of Science in Public Health degree programs will have the unique opportunity to earn direct entry into Saba University School of Medicine (SABA), Medical University of the Americas (MUA), or St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine (SMU). The collaboration marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind in the UAE, the GCC and the MENA region.
