Institution positioned #1 in Dubai in Art & Design and Business & Management Studies



May 02,2024: Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has been recognized as Dubai’s top university for Art & Design and Business & Management Studies, according to the 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject. Among 5,000 globally renowned institutions, CUD has achieved rankings of 351-400 for Business & Management Studies and 201-240 for Art & Design. These placements position CUD third in the United Arab Emirates for Art & Design and fourth for Business & Management Studies, corresponding to the upper 5% and 8% of the world, respectively, for these fields of study.

30 April 2024, Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Heriot-Watt University and Aurora50 today published a detailed analysis of the current state of women’s representation on the boards of publicly listed companies in the GCC. The report, entitled the ‘GCC Board Gender Index Report 2024’, is the only authoritative cross-GCC report of its kind, and represents the first time that a comprehensive data set has been published collating information from across the GCC. It seeks to form the baseline data from which future progress can be measured.

The Global Partnership for Education AND the Islamic Development Bank Celebrate Innovative Financing and Pledge AN ADDITIONAL $350 million to End THE Education Crisis

RIYADH, WASHINGTON D.C., APRIL 28, 2024 – During its 2024 Annual Meetings and Golden Jubilee Celebration, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Arab Coordination Group (ACG) and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), joined the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) in celebrating the success of SmartEd, an innovative financing instrument that has mobilized US$500 million for education initiatives. Building on this success, the partners pledged an additional $350 million towards SmartEd: $150 million from the Islamic Development Bank, $100 million from the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), $50 million from the Islamic Solidarity Fund and $50 million from GPE.
