SBWC & AUS launch data-driven round table series empowering women entrepreneurs in the UAE

Signalling a new industry-academia collaboration, Sharjah Business Women Council & American University of Sharjah have set out to boost the UAE’s start-up landscape with real-time insights & multi stakeholder recommendations   


Sharjah, May 10, 2024

Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC), in collaboration with the American University of Sharjah (AUS), has launched a round table discussion series, designed to enhance entrepreneurial sectors within the UAE, particularly for women. The sessions, which place a strong focus on educational aspects to empower female entrepreneurs, aim to gather data, foster knowledge exchange and find solutions based on recommendations by a diverse stakeholder group, thus driving positive change within the nation’s business ecosystem.

Heriot-Watt University and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence collaborate to establish a Centre for Doctoral Training in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

9 May 2024, Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Heriot-Watt University and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) announced a collaboration to establish an international Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in the UAE. The planned collaboration would allow students access to support and supervision across both Universities and the opportunity to align with the world leading faculty, facilities, and courses at MBZUAI as well as at Heriot-Watt University in Dubai and Edinburgh.

Pearson began integrating generative AI study tools into its products and content in the US last August.
