Canadian University Dubai launches MSc in Design Innovation for Circular Economy

First of its kind program to advance sustainable innovation in the region

June 03,2024: Master of Science in Design Innovation for Circular Economy (MSc DICE), to prepare graduates to lead the transition towards sustainable innovation and growth in the region. A first of its kind in the UAE, the program will build skills capacity in support of the UAE Circular Economy Policy 2021-2031 and the Centennial 2071 strategy, to decouple economic growth from resource depletion, emphasizing innovation, clean production, and digital transformation.

Sharjah, UAE – American University of Sharjah (AUS) celebrated the graduation of 794 students at its Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremony, held at University City Hall in the presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of AUS. The event brought together university leadership, faculty, families and guests to recognize the achievements of a graduating class representing 47 nationalities.

Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) hosted the 12th edition of the Undergraduate Research and Innovation Competition (URIC) on May 29 at its main campus in Abu Dhabi. For the third consecutive year, the event was sponsored by RTX, demonstrating the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting STEM education and fostering innovation in the UAE and beyond. The hybrid annual event brought together exceptional undergraduate talent from around the world to present breakthrough research and creative solutions across 27 academic disciplines, including engineering, business, education, law, and health sciences.
