Distinguished Guests and Academic Leaders Celebrate the Graduation of 297 Students at BITS Pilani Dubai Campus Convocation 2025

Dubai, UAE: The BITS Pilani Dubai Campus (BPDC) recently hosted the convocation ceremony for its 22nd batch — a milestone celebration of academic achievement and student success. A total of 297 graduates — 251 from the Integrated First Degree Programme, 39 from the Higher Degree Programme, and 7 doctoral awardees — received their degrees, marking a proud moment for the institution and its global community.

The ceremony was graced by His Highness Shaikh Sultan Jamal Saqer Sultan Al Qasimi, Member of the Ruling Family, Ras Al Khaimah, as Chief Guest. Mr. Essa Al Ghurair, Chairman, Essa Al Ghurair Investment LLC, and Mr.Syed M. Salahuddin, Chairman & CEO, ETA Ascon Star Group attended as Guests of Honour. From BITS Pilani’s senior leadership, Professor V. Ramgopal Rao, Vice Chancellor, Col S. Chakraborty (Retd), Registrar and Professor Souri Banerjee, Director, BPDC, joined faculty, staff, alumni, and families to celebrate the graduating batch.

Canadian University Dubai students lead the way in tech research and innovation

Undergraduate engineers deliver advancements in robotics and data science

September 29,2025: Dubai, UAE: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) students, Karthika Manoj and Anthony Ibrahim, are demonstrating the power of undergraduate research in driving global innovation. Both emerging talents in the engineering domain, Karthika and Anthony have delivered pioneering projects in the fields of robotics and data science, proving how the next generation is leading in the advancement of technology.

Karthika worked with an existing simulator for the Unitree G1 U-6 humanoid robot

A standout student in the Computer and Networking Engineering program, Karthika has recently completed a three-week research traineeship in Germany with the Department of Automated and Autonomous Systems at the Technical University of Freiberg. During the hands-on project, Karthika worked with an existing simulator for the Unitree G1 U-6 humanoid robot, a platform with a human-like form factor used in scenarios where replicating human anatomy is important to accomplish specific tasks.

Dubai, UAE – BITS Pilani Dubai Campus (BPDC) has achieved it’s highest-ever admissions growth with the Class of 2025, marking a turning point for student diversity and academic excellence. This year’s incoming class reflects unprecedented cultural, academic, and geographic diversity, with nearly 67% of students coming from outside the UAE, representing 11 countries across Asia, Africa, and the Gulf.

Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence hosts 3rd Mailis programme to explore AI’s role in shaping future of work

Abu Dhabi, 23 September 2025: Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) has hosted the third edition of its community engagement platform, Mailis, bringing together entrepreneurs, policymakers, and innovators. Held under the theme ROI Redefined: Return on Innovation, the session featured key voices from Abu Dhabi’s government, business, and startup sectors. Together, they discussed how artificial intelligence is redefining the workplace, powering startups, and strengthening the UAE’s innovation ecosystem.

Opening the session, Rawdha Almeraikhi, Director of Outreach at MBZUAI, said: “We want people to stop seeing AI as just a tool. It is a partner, one that amplifies human creativity, accelerates problem-solving, and pushes the boundaries of what is possible.
