Malabar Group’s ‘Hunger Free World’ Project Wins CSR Times Award 2024

Malabar Group, the parent concern of Malabar Gold & Diamonds, the 6th largest jewellery retailer globally, has been honored with the prestigious CSR Times Award 2024 for its transformative ‘Hunger Free World’ project. The CSR Times Award is a national recognition in India given to corporate organizations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to social responsibility, with a focus on the welfare of the people.

The award ceremony, organized in collaboration with the Government of Goa, featured Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant as the chief guest. Mr. Fanzeem, Head of Retail Expansion & Regional Head – West India, Malabar Gold & Diamonds; Mr. Shabeer P.K, Head of CSR; and Mr. Milind Umate, Business Head – Corporate Gifting, accepted the award on behalf of Malabar Group. The event also saw the participation of distinguished guests, including Rt. Air Marshal V.P.S. Rana, Delhi CSR Times Editor Harish Chandra, Goa CSR Authority Joint CEO Vijay Saxena, and Goa CSR Authority Principal Adviser Dr. M.B. Gururaj, among others.

GCC Industry Must Balance Agri-Nutrient Production with Sustainability, Agree Speakers at 14th GPCA Agri-Nutrients Conference

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia,11 September2024– The agri-nutrients industry must balance the dual objective of meeting growing demand for food globally, while contributing to sustainability, lowering emissions and advancing its net-zero objectives by 2050, agreed speakers at the 14thGulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) Agri-Nutrients Conference, which is taking place for the first time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia,at the JW Marriott Hotel, from10-12 September 2024.

Held under the theme “Agri-Innovation:Powering a Food-Secure & Climate-Smart Planet”, the conference began with Welcome remarks by Fahad Al-Battar, CEO, SABIC Agri-Nutrients, who shared that one of the ways the industry can significantly contribute to the mitigation of climate change is by not only reducing but also replacing energy. While coalprovides the energy in about one-quarter of the world’s production of ammonia, natural gas can do the same job with almost 60% fewer emissions, he told delegates.

IBPC Dubai Celebrated the Two Years Journey of UAE India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement’ CEPA

11th September,2024, United Arab Emirates: The Indian Business and Professional Council Dubai hosted a celebratory event marking the second anniversary of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The gathering was held in Taj Dubai under the patronage of Consulate General of India with the UAE India CEPA Council. Presenting the remarkable progress in bilateral trade and investment since the agreement’s implementation in May 2022, the celebration recognised the double-digit growth in bilateral non-oil trade between India and the  UAE as becoming 3rd largest partner of India in bilateral trade.
