TiE Women MENA 2025 launches sixth edition to champion the next generation of women entrepreneurs

Applications open until June 15, 2025, inviting women-led startups across MENA to join a transformative entrepreneurial journey

Dubai, UAE – 24 April 2025 The Dubai chapter of TiE Global has officially launched the sixth annual TiE Women MENA 2025 competition, an empowering initiative designed to support and elevate women entrepreneurs across the region. The program runs five parallel tracks: TiE Women Emirati, TiE Women UAE, TiE Women Saudi Arabia, TiE Women Egypt, and TiE Women Rest of MENA.

The competition kicks off with an application phase open until June 15, 2025. Through multiple rounds of screening, an impartial jury comprising TiE Dubai Charter Members will identify the most innovative ventures across the five tracks. Shortlisted entries will move forward to regional competitions in September, with finalists presenting their startups in a series of competitive pitch events. Winners from each track will then advance to the MENA finals, set to take place during Expand North Star at GITEX Global in Dubai Harbour this October. The journey concludes with the Global Finals, to be hosted at the TiE Global Summit in Jaipur, India, in December.

US$22 billion on the table – Are GCC utilities ready to seize the opportunity?

The analysis was part of a new report by Strategy& Middle East, part of the PwC network, which outlines how utilities in GCC could break free from outdated assumptions and adopt leading practices to enable effective transformation.

NAMA set to launch ‘Financial Literacy Programme’ to equip 200 women with tools for lifelong financial independence

In support of enhancing women’s financial knowledge and boosting their financial management skillsets, NAMA Women Advancement Establishment is set to launch the ‘Financial Literacy Programme’. Running from April 28 to May 22 in Kalba, Dibba Al Hisn, Sharjah City and Al Mudam, the initiative aims to equip more than 200 women with the tools and confidence to make informed financial decisions and achieve lasting economic security.

NAMA’s expert-led initiative aims to provide the participants with the skillsets to reinforce their professional careers, achieve financial independence, build wealth and boost financial security. By providing actionable advice and strategies to enhance career and business confidence, the programme will cover essential  topics such as financial goals, budgeting expenditure & spending, borrowing and debt management amongst others.
