Sharjah is gearing up for a landmark event in the world of automotive heritage – the inaugural “Sharjah Classic Cars Festival,” set to be the largest gathering of vintage cars in the UAE and the region. Scheduled from February 2 to 4, the festival, organised by the Sharjah Old Car Club (SOCC), promises a journey through time under the slogan ‘More Than Just Cars.’

This unique event aims to unite car enthusiasts and owners by showcasing an impressive array of vintage vehicles representing not just the UAE’s but the world’s cultural and historical automotive lineage. YOKOHAMA, Japan (December 29, 2023) – Chris and Julie Ramsey, husband and wife adventurers, have completed their all-electric journey to the South Pole in Antarctica.

Their 10-month, 30,000 km adventure that started on the frozen Arctic Sea at the 1823 Magnetic North Pole, has seen them drive the varied terrains and conditions of North, Central and South America before carefully traversing the most remote continent on the planet, to reach the South Pole. This is the first time any car, let alone an EV, has completed such a journey.
