Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 17, 2023: The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment led the UAE delegation at the 62nd meeting of the Standing Committee of Ramsar Convention, held at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) headquarters in Gland, Switzerland

The meeting was held under the presidency of the People’s Republic of China marking the conclusion of the UAE’s four-year presidency, which commenced in 2018 and was underpinned by significant achievements.

UAE and China’s Hainan Province sign multiple deals to boost cooperation in priority sectors

  • Total of four agreements will support across technology, logistics, services and free zones
  • Bilateral non-oil trade between the UAE and Hainan Province reached US$900 million in 2022

Dubai, September 15, 2023:

 The signing of four major private-sector agreements will boost the rapidly expanding trade and investment ties between the United Arab Emirates and the Chinese province of Hainan. The signing ceremony took place during the Hainan Promotion Conference in Dubai and was attended by His Excellency Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and His Excellency Liu Xiaoming, Governor of Hainan Province.

Manama, Bahrain, 16 September 2023 – The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), the voice of the chemical industry in the Arabian Gulf, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the GCC Accreditation Center (GAC) to collaborate in the area of conformity assessment and accreditation and develop sustainable solutions for the petrochemical and chemical industry in the GCC region that will contribute to establishing a robust quality infrastructure.
