A decade of specialized healthcare excellence supporting families across the UAE
Abu Dhabi, UAE – 28 January 2026: Danat Al Emarat Hospital, part of the M42 group, has marked a decade of delivering specialized, compassionate care to women, children, and families across the UAE. The milestone coincides with the UAE’s designation of 2026 as the Year of the Family, underscoring the hospital’s long-standing commitment to family-centered care.
Since opening its doors in 2015 and its official inauguration in 2017 by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Danat Al Emarat has become a trusted center for maternity, neonatal, pediatric, fertility, and women’s health services. Over the past decade, the hospital has supported more than 2.1 million people and welcomed over 40,000 babies, accompanying families through some of life’s most defining moments.

The anniversary was commemorated on 13 January 2026 at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi, bringing together employees, partners, and senior leadership to reflect on the hospital’s journey as Abu Dhabi’s first dedicated women’s and children’s hospital, and to recognize the people behind its progress.
Danat Al Emarat’s growth has been driven by continuous clinical, academic, and infrastructural advancements. In 2018, the hospital received the JCI Gold Seal of Approval for quality and safety, alongside CAP and ISO 15189 laboratory accreditations. This was followed in 2019 by the expansion of the South Tower NICU to meet increasing demand for specialized neonatal care.
In 2020, the hospital expanded its integrated care offering with advanced Fertility and Fetal Medicine services, and in 2021 joined the M42 network, accelerating innovation and growth. Education and workforce development have remained central to its mission, with the launch of a Residency Program in partnership with UAE University in 2022 and the implementation of the ANCC Pathway to Excellence® for nursing.
Further milestones include recognition as anfrom SRC Center of Excellence in Gynecology and Endometriosis in 2023, and as well as the introduction a regional first in 2024, when Danat Al Emarat became the first hospital in the Middle East to offer of ovarian tissue cryopreservation.
As it enters its next decade, Danat Al Emarat remains focused on advancing women’s health, supporting families at every stage of life, and contributing to healthier generations across the UAE.
