What makes a thriller truly captivating? At the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair 2025, three acclaimed authors; Daniel G. Miller, Abdul Wahab Al Rifai, and Ibrahim Al Marzooqi  explored how pace, psychology, and character depth work together to create compelling stories that grip readers from the first page to the last.

At the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2025), children aged eight to fourteen took part in the “Bonsai Tree” workshop, a nature-inspired craft session that doubled as a lesson in patience, creativity, and sustainability.

The activity was an imaginative exploration of how simple materials can teach valuable life lessons. Each participant received a small model resembling a skeletal bonsai tree. Clusters of aluminium wires were twisted together and fixed to a wooden base, evoking a leafless autumn tree.

The sizzle of frying paneer and the aroma of chilli-infused honey filled the air at the Cookery Corner of the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2025) as New Zealand-based cookbook author Ashia Ismail-Singer took the stage to demonstrate her signature recipe Parmesan-crumbed paneer drizzled with hot honey. The dish, like the author herself, draws flavour from many worlds.
