BOOK “Life’s Canvas”: Poet’s Journey of the Soul Through Words and Silence

In a world that often rushes past its own meaning, Life’s Canvas invites readers to pause — to listen to the quiet dialogue between the heart and the divine. Written by Ukrainian poet Nataliya Serafymova, who was born in Jena, Germany and has called the United Arab Emirates home for the past eighteen years, this debut collection captures the sacred pulse of life through the lens of love, loss, and transformation.

For Nataliya, poetry is not merely an art form — it is a way of being. “Writing has always been my way of listening to life’s whispers,” she reflects. “It’s how I translate silence into words and uncover the sacred moments hidden in the everyday.”

Life’s Canvas is, at its heart, a spiritual memoir in verse. It explores the delicate intersections of grief and grace, longing and peace, fragility and strength. Each poem is a quiet revelation — a mirror reflecting the soul’s journey through beauty and pain, surrender and awakening.

Living and creating in the UAE has profoundly shaped Nataliya’s voice. “Dubai has been a place of renewal and inspiration for me,” she shares. “It’s a land that embraces diversity, where dreams take shape in unexpected ways. I feel deep gratitude to this country — to its people, its vision, and its spirit — for allowing artists like me to bloom.”

Through her poetry, Nataliya extends that same generosity of spirit to her readers. Her words reach across cultures and languages, uniting emotion and reflection in a universal language of humanity and hope.

As she prepares to share her work with the world, Nataliya sees Life’s Canvas not simply as a book, but as an offering — a bridge between silence and sound, between the inner and outer worlds. “Every poem,” she says, “is a small prayer for connection.”

The book is now available under the imprint of Qindeel Publishing, UAE, and will be featured at the Sharjah International Book Fair, a milestone that marks both a personal and creative homecoming.

And as the poet herself beautifully reminds us — sometimes, all it takes to touch eternity is a few honest words on a quiet page.

My Beautiful Land UAE

My beautiful land, where sand softly gleams,

Where time hides its secrets in sun-shaded dreams.

We rose with your towers, so proud and high,

We walked through your souqs where rare spices lie.

You wrapped me in warmth from the edge of the shore,

You quieted my storms, storms I couldn’t ignore.

The call of your minarets healed every strain,

You softened my heart, you quieted the pain.

Here I found love, here I found peace,

A moment of stillness, a gentle release.

You gave me shelter, you helped me grow —

More than a home, you’re the soul I know.

Thank you my land, for the paths that we crossed,

For what I have gained, far more than I lost.

For all that I am, and all I became —

I carry your light in my heart like a flame.
