EY Academy launches flagship IFRS roadshow to support finance leaders across the Middle East in navigating evolving reporting standards

Dubai, UAE – 30 October 2025: EY Academy has announced the launch of its Corporate Reporting Insights Roadshow 2025, a major series of events across key cities in the Middle East designed to equip finance leaders with the skills and insights to navigate upcoming changes to international financial reporting standards.

With more than 100 amendments and new requirements issued by the International Accounting Standards Board between January 2024 and June 2025, finance teams face a wave of reporting change unlike anything in recent years. The roadshow will provide practical, region-specific guidance on these shifts, helping decision-makers turn regulatory developments into strategic advantage.

Azizi Developments’ Riviera Beachfront I reaches 81% construction milestone

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 27 October 2025: Azizi Developments, a leading private developer in the UAE, has announced that Beachfront I in Azizi Riviera, its French Mediterranean-inspired waterfront community in Meydan, MBR City, has now reached 81% completion.

Beachfront I’s structures and blockwork are fully complete, with internal plastering now at 98%. Tiling works have reached 80%, while HVAC and MEP installations stand at 90% and 81% respectively. Façade works are at 59%, elevator works at 58%, and overall finishes have progressed to 68%. External and swimming pool works are in the earlier stages of 31% and 21%. Supported by a workforce of 3,700, construction remains firmly on track for completion in Q4 2025.

Dubai Student Leads Menstrual Health Awareness and Support in Rural India, Through Project SAFE

17-Year-Old NAS Dubai Student Distributes Over 25,000 Sanitary Pads, Empowering Thousands of Girls Across Bihar and Uttar Pradesh

Dubai, UAE – October 27, 2025 – Reya Khawaja, a 17-year-old Year 12 student at Nord Anglia School (NAS) Dubai, is transforming menstrual health awareness and access for young girls in rural India through her youth-led initiative, Project SAFE (Sanitation and Awareness for Female Empowerment). Since its launch in February 2024, the project has distributed over 25,000 sanitary pads and conducted comprehensive awareness sessions reaching thousands of schoolgirls across Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

Project SAFE, launched in collaboration with KCS Foundation India, began as a focused effort in two districts of the state of Bihar, Sitamarhi and Madhubani, and has now evolved into a powerful grassroots movement. Through strategic partnerships with 12 government schools, Reya’s team provides monthly sanitary pad distribution alongside interactive online awareness sessions covering menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and personal dignity.
