Unilever Launches Its First Deodorant Stick Production in Saudi Arabia, Strengthening Kingdom’s Role as a Global Manufacturing Hub

Jeddah factory expansion unlocks capacity for 30 million deodorant units annually, with 85% allocated for global export, advancing Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Industrial Strategy

Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, 17th September 2025: Unilever today inaugurated its new deodorant production lines at its Binzagr Unilever Limited (BUL) factory in Jeddah. The inauguration was attended by H.E. Eng. Abdulaziz bin Majed Al-Ahmadi, Deputy Minister for Industrial Development at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and several representatives from government and industry, including the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, the Saudi Exports Development Authority, and the National Industrial Development Center (NIDC). This reflects the strategic importance of the project in supporting economic diversification and enhancing national industrial capabilities.

Sharjah, UAE, 25 August 2025: Jumeirah International Nurseries (JINS), part of Fortes Education, proudly inaugurated its flagship preschool in Al Mamsha, Sharjah, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries and partners.

His Excellency Ali Al Hosani, Director General of the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), officially unveiled the new campus alongside Mrs. Mankani, Founder of Fortes Education, Sanjay Mankani Managing Director of Fortes Education, Katrina Mankani Managing Director of JINS and Samina Khanyari, the General Manager of JINS. الجمعية الوطنية للتصلب المتعدد تكرم أفضل المشاريع الطلابية ضمن برنامج “الابتكار لدعم الدمج

أبوظبي، 17 سبتمبر 2025 – أعلنت الجمعية الوطنية للتصلب المتعدد عن المشاريع الثلاثة الفائزة في النسخة الأولى من برنامج “الابتكار لدعم ‏الدمج” الذي أطلقته الجمعية لزيادة الوعي بين فئة الشباب. وتم تنفيذ البرنامج بالشراكة مع ست جامعات رائدة تضمنت 11 حرمًا جامعيًا في مختلف أنحاء دولة الإمارات، وبدعم من أكثر من 45 أكاديميًا وخبيرًا من القطاعات المختلفة.

وقد جمعت النسخة الافتتاحية للبرنامج أكثر من 80 طالبًا عملوا ضمن فرق لتقديم ما يزيد عن 30 مشروعًا تصميميًا لمعالجة التحديات في ثلاث مجالات رئيسة هي: القدرات الإدراكية، والتواصل، والحركة، وهي المجالات التي غالبًا ما يواجه فيها المتعايشون مع التصلب المتعدد وغيرهم من ذوي الحالات المزمنة صعوبات في حياتهم اليومية.

وفي فئة القدرات الإدراكية، فقد فاز مشروع ‏”لكسي – ‏Lexy‏”، وهو عبارة عن أداة مدعومة بالذكاء الاصطناعي طوّرها طلاب من كليات التقنية العليا فرع الشارقة، تهدف إلى تبسيط النصوص المعقدة، ومتابعة مستوى الوضوح في الوقت الفعلي. وبفضل دعمها للغة العربية، توفر الأداة مساعدة حقيقية للمتعايشين مع الحالات الصحية التي تؤثر على الذاكرة والتركيز.

NATIONAL MS SOCIETY AWARDS TOP STUDENT PROJECTS IN UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR INCLUSION PROGRAM

Abu Dhabi, 17 September 2025 – The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) has announced the three winning projects of the inaugural edition of the Universal Design for Inclusion Program. Part of NMSS’s youth awareness efforts, the program was delivered in partnership with six leading UAE universities across 11 campuses and supported by more than 45 faculty and industry mentors.

The inaugural cycle brought together over 80 students who worked in teams to submit more than 30 design projects that tackled challenges in three focus areas; cognitive, communication, and mobility, where people living with multiple sclerosis and other chronic conditions often face limitations in daily life.

In the Cognitive category, the winning project was Lexy, an AI-powered tool developed by students at the Higher Colleges of Technology Sharjah that simplifies complex text and tracks clarity in real time. With Arabic language support, the tool offers valuable assistance to people living with conditions that affect memory and concentration.
