Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 1 May 2025: Arabian Travel Market (ATM), the leading global event for the travel and tourism sector, has welcomed more than 55,000 industry professionals from 166 countries, representing a 16% increase on last year’s edition. The event has showcased over 2,800 exhibiting companies, with 19% from the Middle East and 81% from the rest of the world.

H.E. Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, Founder of ADMAF and Abu Dhabi Festival, Receives the Prestigious Ed Bradley Leadership Award in Jazz

Presented at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Duke at 125 Gala, the Founder of ADMAF and Abu Dhabi Festival becomes the Middle East’s first recipient of the prestigious award, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to jazz through education, philanthropy and advocacy.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 1 May 2025: The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) announced that H.E. Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, Founder of ADMAF and the Abu Dhabi Festival, has received the prestigious Ed Bradley Award for Leadership in Jazz, becoming the first-ever recipient from the Middle East to be honoured with this recognition. The award was presented to Her Excellency during the Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Duke at 125 Fundraiser Gala in New York, in honour of her lifetime achievement and outstand contributions to the global jazz community, as well as her role in championing cultural exchange through the arts.

Acclaimed animator guides participants through expressions, poses and shape theory, offering a rare glimpse into the process of crafting memorable characters

The opening day of the 3rd Sharjah Animation Conference (SAC 2025) lit up with the creative spark and seasoned insights of Disney veteran Sandro Cleuzo, at his workshop, “Character Design Essentials: From Concept to Final Illustration”.

Addressing a full house, the acclaimed animator, known for his work in Mary Poppins Returns (2018), The Iron Giant (1999) and Nimona (2023), shared a masterful breakdown-technique of his character creation process. “Designing characters is like directing actors – you have to know who they are, how they move, and what they’re feeling”.
