RAK Hospital Sheds Light on Obesity’s Hidden Toll on Bone Health in Informative Session

Obesity significantly contributes to chronic skeletal conditions, including osteoarthritis, spinal stress, and hip joint damage.

For every extra kilogram of body weight, there is 4-6 times the force exerted on weight-bearing joints, such as the knees, hips, and spine.

Ras Al Khaimah, UAE – April 8, 2025 – In a bid to support the community on their journey to better health, RAK Hospital hosted an insightful and interactive session on the critical link between obesity and bone health, as part of the 5th RAK Weight Loss Challenge 2025. The session, led by Dr. Bharath Patil, Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon at RAK Hospital, focused on how excess weight impacts bone and joint health, and provided practical advice on managing weight to reduce the risk of chronic musculoskeletal issues.

تقديم أكثر من 25,000 صندوق إفطار عائلي

توزيع أكثر من 26,000 وجبة عبر مبادرة ثلاجات نعمة المجتمعية

تجنب انبعاثات إجمالية من ثاني أكسيد الكربون تُقدر بحوالي 656,500 كيلوغرام

أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية الموحدة، 8 أبريل 2025: اختتمت المبادرة الوطنية للحد من فقد وهدر الغذاء “نعمة” حملتها الرمضانية لعام 2025 تحت شعار “نقدر النعمة” بنجاح، محققةً تأثيرًا كبيرًا في جهود إنقاذ وتوزيع الغذاء وتعزيز الاستدامة على مستوى الدولة.

وفي إطار التزام دولة الإمارات بالحد من فقد وهدر الغذاء بنسبة 50 في المئة بحلول عام 2030، قامت “نعمة” بتنسيق جهودها مع شركاء رئيسيين، ومتطوعين، وقطاع الضيافة عبر مبادراتها الرمضانية لإنقاذ فائض الغذاء عالي الجودة وإعادة توزيعه على المستحقين.
