Fans of fantasy, folklore and cinema got an exclusive opportunity at the ongoing 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) to dive into the captivating world of jinn with renowned Egyptian actor Ahmed Ezz and best-selling novelist and screenwriter Ahmed Mourad.

The highly anticipated event, ‘Al Jinn in Literature and Cinema’offered an in-depth exploration of how jinn – the mysterious beings rooted in Middle Eastern folklore – come to life in both Mourad’s novel Kira and the Jinn and its cinematic adaptation.

شهد الشيخ الدكتور خالد بن حميد القاسمي, رئيس الاتحاد العربي للشطرنج رئيس نادي الشارقة الثقافي للشطرنج رئيس جمعية الإمارات للإبداع ، إطلاق ديوان “الإعجاز والإنجاز ” للأديب والشاعر الدكتور محمد الصاحي الزعابي ، الصادر حديثا عن مكتبة الفلاح للنشر والتوزيع .

جاء ذلك خلال جولة الشيخ الدكتور خالد بن حميد القاسمي في معرض الشارقة الدولي للكتاب 2024 الذي تنظمه هيئة الشارقة للكتاب خلال الفترة من 06 إلى 17 نوفمبر الجاري في مركز إكسبو الشارقة تحت شعار “هكذا نبدأ”. الذي بات رمزا من رموز المعرفة العربية والعالمية ودليلاً ساطعاً على تنمية روح التسامح والتواصل المعرفي بين شعوب الأرض.

HE Dr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Moroccan Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, visited the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2024) where he was received by HE Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, CEO of the Sharjah Book Authority, and HE Ahmed Tazi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the UAE, coinciding with the celebration of Morocco as the Guest of Honour of the 43rd edition.

Free boat transfer from Sharjah Aquarium station to a docking area at Expo Centre Sharjah

The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has announced a partnership with the Roads and Transport Authorities (RTA) of Sharjah and Dubai to facilitate access for visitors travelling from Dubai to the 43rd edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2024).

As part of this partnership, Sharjah RTA will operate ten boats, providing free transportation for visitors from Dubai and Sharjah throughout the fair. The boats will run from Sharjah Aquarium station directly to Expo Centre Sharjah, where a temporary docking area has been established to accommodate this service.
