Union Coop, the only cooperative to be listed on the Dubai Financial Market, announced the signing of a collaborative agreement with Al Ramz Capital, one of the largest brokerage service providers in the UAE to offer investment services and real-time market information to help shareholders capitalize on trading opportunities in the Dubai Financial Market.
Union Coop has announced the winners of the “Back-to-School” raffle organized in collaboration with Unilever from August 10 to September 10, 2024, coinciding with the ‘back to school’ season and the start of the new academic year. The draw included prizes won by a number of shoppers from various nationalities.
The winners were announced during a special event held at Al Warqa City Mall, attended by several Union Coop staff, as well as representatives from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism. The grand prize, a Tesla car, was awarded to shopper “S.A.” of Arab nationality, alongside 17 other shoppers who won additional prizes, including iPads and shopping vouchers worth AED 1,000.

Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki, Chief Community Relations Officer at Union Coop, has announced that the number of beneficiaries from its social program ‘Irada’, which is dedicated to supporting people of determination among the Coop’s shareholders or their children, has reached 466 individuals. Dr. Al Bastaki revealed that Union Coop provides these beneficiaries with shopping cards valued at AED 500 per month for a duration of six months. This allocation is intended to partially meet the needs of the eligible individuals, offering them a free purchasing card with a specific value and for a limited period.
The service in its trial-run is only available at Etihad Mall branch

Union Coop has recently introduced ‘self-checkout’ as a part of its smart services that allows consumers to complete their purchases without the need of any cashier. Currently, in its initial stages, the Dubai-based retailer plans to introduce self-checkout in all of its branches for the convenience of the consumers.
