The service in its trial-run is only available at Etihad Mall branch

Union Coop has recently introduced ‘self-checkout’ as a part of its smart services that allows consumers to complete their purchases without the need of any cashier. Currently, in its initial stages, the Dubai-based retailer plans to introduce self-checkout in all of its branches for the convenience of the consumers. 

Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki, Chief Community Relations Officer at Union Coop, stated: – “Union Coop has recently launched new services for consumers, introducing self-checkout systems through a range of smart devices at our Union Coop branch in Etihad Mall. This initiative is part of our strategy to offer multiple payment options and provide more flexible and convenient shopping experiences.”

Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki, Chief Community Relations Officer at Union Coop, has announced that the cooperative will launch 8 promotional campaigns throughout September, offering discounts of up to 70%. This initiative also includes the continuation of ongoing campaigns with reduced and fixed prices across a wide range of selected products, both food and non-food items.

Dr. Al Bastaki highlighted that the cooperative began its September promotions from the very first day of the month. These campaigns involve price reductions on 600 popular consumer products, aligning with Union Coop’s strategic goals and its ongoing commitment to community initiatives aimed at enhancing shopper satisfaction by providing high-quality products at competitive prices.
