More than 650 students acknowledged for their outstanding involvement across leadership, athletics, volunteering and cultural activities 

Sharjah, UAE, May 2, 2025 – American University of Sharjah (AUS) celebrated the outstanding achievements of its students at the Annual Student Appreciation Awards 2025, held in the presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of AUS.

Strategic partnership supports joint research, academic exchange and the development of global platforms for Arabic language, literature and pedagogy

Rabat, Morocco – April 17, 2025 – American University of Sharjah (AUS) and Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) marked a new chapter in international academic cooperation with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on April 16 at the Central Bank of Morocco in the presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of AUS; and His Excellency Abdellatif Jouahri, Governor of Bank Al Maghrib and Chairman of the AUI Board of Trustees. The agreement establishes a collaborative framework focused on Arabic and Islamic studies, language pedagogy, digital humanities and emerging technologies—promoting cultural exchange, joint research and academic partnerships rooted in shared heritage and future-focused goals.

Sharjah, UAE, November 17, 2024 – On November 12–13, 2024, American University of Sharjah (AUS) hosted its 48 Hours of Impact Giving Campaign, with strong support from Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of AUS. Sheikha Bodour played an active role in the event, which was organized by AUS’ Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs to support AUS students with disabilities, those facing financial and social challenges within their communities, and students from underserved backgrounds.
