  • The DP World ILT20 Player Development Initiative will provide emerging cricketers from African ICC Associate Members invaluable exposure to elite-level cricket, training alongside international stars across the six franchises.
  • The seven bowlers include Francis Mutua (Kenya) with Desert Vipers, Juma Miyagi (Uganda) with Gulf Giants, Katlo Piet (Botswana) with Sharjah Warriorz, Martin Akayezu (Rwanda) with ADKR, Mohammed Yunusu Issa (Tanzania) with MI Emirates, Peter Aho (Nigeria) with Dubai Capitals, and Samuel Conteh (Sierra Leone) with Sharjah Warriorz as well.

Dubai 2025 set to welcome biggest-ever AYPG with 1,500 athletes from 35 nations competing across 11 sports

Dubai is set to make a landmark return as it hosts the Asian Youth Para Games for the second time, welcoming 1,500 young Para athletes from 35 nations, the largest participation in the event’s history.

Having successfully hosted the Games in 2017, the 2025 edition will feature competitions in 11 sports across 8 world-class venues from 10-13 December, further cementing Dubai’s status as a global hub for Para sport excellence.
