PetroChina signs on to the Oil & Gas Decarbonization Charter; Member companies comprising 42% of global oil production committed to joint efforts in reducing carbon emissions

Chinese state-run company joins COP28-launched global industry drive to decarbonize oil and gas sector.

WUHAN, 22 JULY 2024 – PetroChina today became the newest Signatory of the Oil & Gas Decarbonization Charter (OGDC), joining more than 50 oil and gas producers committed to reducing emissions. With PetroChina joining the OGDC, the Charter’s Signatories now represent more than 42% of global oil production.

Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, COP28 President, said:

“We launched the Oil & Gas Decarbonization Charter at COP28 in recognition of the need for inclusivity and transparency. We must bring everyone in to be accountable and responsible for climate action, and that includes including oil & gas companies into the conversation and making them active drivers of practical solutions to keep 1.5C within reach.”

“آرتفاي” منصة جديدة تجمع الفنون التقليدية والرقمية

أعلن رجل الأعمال البارز في قطاع التجزئة رازا بيجبعد غياب اعلامي دام عامين، عن إطلاق منصة “آرتفاي” المتخصصة في الفنون، حيث تمتاز بقدرتها على الجمع بين أشكال الفنون التقليدية والرقمية الحديثة، وتهدف المنصة الجديدة إلى إتاحة الفرصة أمام الجمهور والهواة لاقتناء تشكيلة متنوعة من الأعمال الفنية. ويأتي إطلاق المنصة التي تأسست على يد رازا بيج بالتعاون مع آصف كمال وعلي رازا بيج بالتزامن مع اقتراب انطلاق فعالية “الرموز المميزة”(TGE)التي ستقام في 17 يونيو الجاري بدبي، حيث تستعد المنصة من خلاله لتغيير قواعد الاستثمار في الفن التقليدي، وتحقيق قفزات نوعية في هذا القطاع، من خلال جعل الفن في متناول الجمهور.

وفي هذا الإطار، أكد رازا بيج الذي يتمتع بخبرة تزيد عن ثلاثة عقود في قطاع البيع بالتجزئة، أن المنصة الجديدة تسعى إلى إحداث تحول جذري في سوق الفن، من خلال استخدام تقنية البلوك تشين المتطورة، وجعل الأعمال الفنية القيمة في متناول الجمهور العالمي. وقال: “على مدار الزمن شكل الفن صناعة مربحة، وهو ما حفز الجمهور على اقتناء الأعمال الفنية. ونسعى من خلال منصة “آرتفاي” إلى تغيير طريقة تفاعل الناس مع الفن على اختلاف أشكاله، وجعلها أسهل، من خلال الدمج بين الفن التقليدي والتكنولوجيا الحديثة”، منوهاً إلى أن المنصة لا تبيع الفن فقط وإنما تعمل أيضاً على خلق تجارب استثنائية جديدة تساهم في رفع مستوى الشغف لدى المستثمرين والجمهور وتحفيزهم على اقتناء الأعمال الفنية بسهولة”. وأضاف: “تمتاز المنصة بقدرتها على تغيير طريقة تفاعل الناس مع الفن، من خلال توفيرها لمجموعة من الحلول المبتكرة، حيث تستفيد في تقنيات عملها من إمكانيات دبي وقدرتها العالية على المزج بين التقاليد والابتكار، ما جعلها الأفضل والأسرع والأكثر استعداداً للمستقبل، وأن تصبح عاصمة عالمية للاقتصاد الرقمي”.
