FORMULA E CAR HITS 218 KM/H TOP SPEED INDOORS TO SMASH GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ TITLE

  • Formula E driver Jake Hughes set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the fastest speed achieved by a vehicle indoors reaching 218.71km/h (135.9 mph), smashing the old record of 165.2km/h (102.65 mph) by more than 50 km/h (33 mph)
  • Record-breaking GENBETA car, a new innovation and development programme created by Formula E and the FIA using the all-electric GEN3 race car with 400kW of power and modifications by championship partners SABIC and Hankook, is pushed to the limit on the unique indoor and outdoor race track at ExCeL London events arena

ARAB BANK GROUP PROFITS GROW BY 59% TO $401 MILLION FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2023

United Arab Emirates – 29 July 2023 Arab Bank Group reported solid results for the first half of 2023, The Group’s strong performance was driven by robust growth in its core banking business across different markets, as net profit after tax increased by 59% reaching $401 million as compared to $252 million for the same period last year.

The Group maintained its strong capital base with a total equity of $10.6 billion. Loans grew to $36.1 billion and deposits reached $48.3 billion. Excluding the impact of devaluation of several currencies against the US dollar, loans and deposits grew by 2% & 5%, respectively.

Harare, 29th July, 2023:The Durban Qalandars buoyed by the power-hitting of the Afghanistan batter HazratullahZazai clinched the title in the inaugural edition of the Zim Cyber City Zim Afro T10, by defeating the Joburg Buffaloes in the Final, in front of a packed house at the Harare Sports Club. On what was a historic night, wherein the first ever T10 tournament in Zimbabwe came to a close after some spectacular cricket, Zazaismashed a match-winning 43 not out from 22 deliveries to help deliver the title. The Qalandars won by 8 wickets and 4 balls to spare.
