ADIB Rings Market-Opening Bell to Mark the listing of $750m AT1 Sukuk onLondon Stock Exchange Main Market

London, UK;25July 2023:Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading financial institution in the UAE, celebrated a significant milestone by ringing the market-opening bell today at the London Stock Exchange, commemoratingthe successful listing of $750 million in the world’s first dollar denominated additional tier-one (AT1)perpetual sukuk issued since March 2023.

The market opening ceremony was graced by a senior representative from the UAE Embassy in the UK, along with senior representatives from ADIB, and other distinguished guests including ADIB’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Nasser Al Awadhi.

The issuance was met with exceptional demand, attracting interest from over 240 global and regional investors. The final order exceeded USD 7 billion, making it more than 9 times over-subscribed, and the final pricing was 62.5 bps tighter than the initial pricing thoughts.

For criminals trying to conduct account takeover fraud via credential stuffing, multifactor authentication (MFA) adds hurdles, but attackers have discovered ways to bypass MFA. Enterprises therefore need to take additional measures to bolster the security of MFA, including bot mitigation and the monitoring of contextual risk.

Regardless of its weaknesses, MFA is a significant step forward because password-only authentication has clearly failed. We humans simply cannot remember long strings of characters, so, we take shortcuts, choosing simple, predictable passwords and reusing passwords across applications, all of which has led to many security breaches.

Ajman, United Arab Emirates – July 25, 2023:Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, the Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) is organizing the eighth edition of the highly anticipated Liwa Ajman Dates and Honey Festival. This remarkable cultural and agricultural event will take place in the Emirate of Ajman at the Emirates Hospitality Hall for four consecutive days, from July 27 to July 30, 2023.

With the collaborative efforts of 350 distinguished participants, ADTD has meticulously prepared an exceptional program that encompasses an array of captivating events and workshops spanning the duration of the festival.

The festival is set to begin on July 27, featuring a series of exciting activities and performances. Attendees can look forward to the Juffair decoration workshop, the decoupage workshop on gypsum, and enthralling performances by the renowned Shaer band.The four days of the festival will also feature the lively popular show “Medley”, and the Al-Madis Workshop, and yet otherworkshops such as palm grove and the wicker dyeing workshop, palm frond painting, Al-Basaal, and rope-breaking. Each day of the festival will culminate with a charity auction and the announcement of the Mazayna Dates competition results.
