EcoWaste 2023 Exhibition and Forum kicks off tomorrow with the participation of more than 15 countries

Held as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week

15 January 2023, Abu Dhabi, UAE: The EcoWaste Exhibition and Forum 2023, which is held under the theme“Explore the future of waste management in a circular economy,” will kick off today . The event, held as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, is organized in strategic partnership with the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company (Tadweer). The event will run until 18 January at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, with the participation of 40 exhibitors from more than 15 countries.

During its participation in EcoWaste 2023, Tadweer will showcaseitslatest technologies and most prominent current and future projects in the waste management field. It will also shed light on the best practices in waste management, its sustainability initiatives, andinnovative products made from recycled demolition and construction waste, and agricultural and animal waste.

Tadweer is also organizinga panel during the event, under thetitle “The Leading Role of Women in Sustainable Waste Management”whichaimstohighlightitsefforts ineducating the youth on waste management and the importance of sustainable practices in the waste management sector.

The current edition of the Exhibition will shed light on the leading role of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in supporting the adoption of a circular economy, with a focus on Abu Dhabi’s role in this area. It will also explore solutions to address the waste dilemmain the MENA region, which will double to 255 million tonnes a year by 2050 amid ongoing urbanization across the Arabian Gulf according to an estimate by The World Bank.

The event will include keynote speeches, case studies, and panels, which will explore innovative and effective approachestowaste management, the role of governance to ensure a thriving circular economy, the future of waste operations, minimizing electronic waste through recycling, waste management, the circular economy and COP ambitions, in addition to other topics.

Globalcompanies from 15 countries will participate as exhibitors at the event, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Bahrain, Oman, UK, USA, Serbia, Cyprus, India, France, Italy, Denmark, and Germany.
