Festive Displays Don’t get much Better than the Gingerbread Museum of the Future at The H Dubai

The delicious looking fixture takes center stage in the lobby of this iconic hotel and sets the tone for the festive cheer throughout the whole property

Dubai, UAE (19 December 2022): Sleigh-loads of festive fun is to be found at The H Dubai along with the most spectacular gingerbread display you ever did see! This festive season, The H Dubai is getting engulfed in holiday cheer as an enormous gingerbread house that shows the journey from The H Dubai hotel to the Museum of the Future is now on display in its buzzing lobby to remain until the 8th of January. The 6-meter-long, 2.5-meter-wide, and 2-meter-high structure, which consists of over 250kg of gingerbread dough, acts as the breathtaking showpiece for all the festive activities running during this most magical time of year.

Every year, the hotel creates an iconic landmark with the previous years’ masterpieces including the breath-taking Expo 2020 site and the iconic Burj Khalifa. This year, The Museum of the Future, which was recently named as the “most beautiful building in the world”, has been recreated in the lobby of the hotel using only gingerbread and it blends perfectly with the rest of the futuristic festive decorations. It was chosen to honor the talked-about attraction that opened this year in the UAE and the colours blue and white dominate the entire hotel’s space.

Planning and preparations to this culinary masterpiece began back in September and after 200 hours of work where 20 dedicated staff members from various departments joined together, it has finally been completed.

General Manager of the H Dubai, Sophie Blondel, commented, “What our team has achieved by bringing this idea to life is truly remarkable. Each year, we try to go above and beyond with our festive activations for guests, and this year is no different. The whole team is so excited to welcome guests to experience the wonder of this magical time of year with their own eyes by visiting the H Dubai during the festive period.”

The project was led by the talented Chef Heirida and Executive Chef Laurent who oversaw the design, planning, and implementation from start to finish. The very complicated process of replicating the architecture design and the overall shape and volume took several weeks of planning before the structure even began to be formed, but after lots of hard work, the finished product is truly jaw-dropping.

Executive Chef Laurent Petit said of the structure, “We are so proud of this incredible gingerbread installment, and we are delighted at the way the team came together to bring this idea to life. It was an exceptional feat, and this recreation of the Museum of the Future is an eye-catching feature of the hotel lobby, but it is just a taste of all going on during the holiday season. We tried to show the true spirit of the season through this display, and we are so excited with everything else that has been planned for the festive period including the special turkey deliveries, mixologist classes, fun-filled Christmas brunch, and exciting New Year’s Eve party.”

The Gingerbread Museum of the Future will be in place from now until the end of December, so make sure you don’t miss your chance to witness this sensational masterpiece for yourself in the coming weeks. To check out all the other amazing festive offers running at the H Dubai click here.
