• Dubai Fitness Challenge 2022 brings two 30-day fitness villages to encourage all residents to commit to a fitter future.

United Arab Emirates, Dubai, 21 November 2022: As the sixth edition of Dubai Fitness Challenge continues with a packed lineup of sports, classes, events, the two dedicated fitness villages at DP World Kite Beach and RTA Last Exit Al Khawaneej are proving to be a hive of activity, bringing participants from all ages and abilities together, towards a happier fitter future.

With just seven days left to enjoy the ultimate outdoor workout, there are endless free activities at the Fitness Villages for the whole family to take part in and have fun, while achieving their fitness goals. 

At the DP World Fitness Village Kite Beach, participants have the chance to explore 15 different sport and fitness zones and choose from an array of activities including aerobics, boxing, football, yoga, rowing and much more. The mission of the village is to show the value of working out in the open air and the benefits that it brings to the mind, body and soul.

Open from 7am to 11pm on weekends, and from 3pm to 11pm during the week, DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village provides the perfect backdrop to help residents with their 30 minutes of daily exercise, with stunning sunsets and sunrises to accompany the sessions.

The base main stage, presented by Etisalat by E&, features a huge range of group workouts with fun, high-energy classes that are suitable for all fitness levels, while all DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village attendees can redeem a 30 x 30 offer at the Dubai Chamber Aqua Parks Leisure, paying just AED 30 for 30 minutes access. Other highlights include the Aviv Row, located on the top floor of the three-tier Aviv tower, which offers rowing sessions at the studio for a total body workout. Participants can also join instructors at the AVIV Ride zone, as they guide them through a workout including intervals, rolling hills, sprints, climbs, runs, surges and jumps – all to music hand-picked to motivate and inspire.

Over at the Sports Society Multi-Purpose Court, participants can channel their inner LeBron James or Lionel Messi with a chance to play a wide range of team-based activities including basketball, football and volleyball. And there is even a place to try the fastest growing sport in the world – Padel tennis – at the purpose-built Emirates Padel Tennis Arena.

The Box by Nissan zone, a brand-new football challenges activation area, offers daily challenges including penalty shoot outs, target practice, defender scenarios and volley drills. while the Fitbit Core, Fitbit Lift, and Fitbit Rebounder zones provide a space to practice a variety of fitness activities including core workouts from circuit training to stretch classes and high intensity interval training, an open-air gym that offers a huge range of top-quality equipment, and a selection of  low impact, high intensity rebounder classes to improve overall muscle tone and increases the heart rate.

Kids fitness activities take centre stage at the Kids Fitness Area, specially designed for children where they can get fit, have fun, and start to build healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

New additions this year include the Youth Football Tournament, and the Emirates NBD Cricket Arena, where you can join a tournament, or even book your own 8-a-side game with friends.

Over at the RTA’s Last Exit Al Khawaneej Fitness Village, families can enjoy five different fitness zones – each with their own theme to inspire a switch towards a healthier mind and body.

Starting from 4pm every day until the end of Dubai Fitness Challenge, the RTA Last Exit Al Khawaneej Fitness Village is open until 11pm Sunday to Thursday, and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.

The ranch-themed destination is packed with food trucks to deliver a well-earned energy boost after a hard session, and there are plenty of healthy options to boot.

Participants can choose from super-intensive and super-fun ride classes which are great for building endurance and burning calories, a huge range of group workouts suitable for all fitness levels at the RTA main stage area.

The exclusively Aster ladies-only fitness studio offers pilates, core conditioning, dance classes, deep stretching and Tabata classes, and the Dubai Chamber high-energy rebounder sessions are perfect for fitness fans wanting to take care of their joints.

Children can get a taste of martial arts and yoga, or enjoy dance, zumba, bootcamps – and more. 

Fitness fans of all ages and abilities including workout first-timers are encouraged to come together with the common goal; to get active for 30 minutes of daily exercise for 30 consecutive days.

With its biggest ever calendar of free and inclusive fitness events, activities and classes across the city, residents are being urged to find their inner workout warrior and embrace exercise into their everyday schedule.
