STYLE AND SUBSTANCE: THE RITZ-CARLTON, DUBAI PARTNERS WITH JESSICA AND RITA KAHAWATY TO HOST FASHIONABLE AFTERNOON TEA DURING #PINKTOBER

All proceeds from The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai x Mama Rita Afternoon Tea event, which took place on 18 October will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation in partnership with Brest Friends 

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 20 October 2022 – The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, in partnership with Jessica and Rita Kahawaty, founders of culinary brand Mama Rita, hosted a decadent pink afternoon tea to raise awareness and funds for Al Jalila Foundation, in association with Brest Friends during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The collaboration between The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai and entrepreneur, humanitarian, and model Jessica Kahawaty with wellness focused influencer and model Rita Kahawaty, co-founders of culinary brand Mama Rita saw a fashionable afternoon tea take place in The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai’s award winning Lobby Lounge.   With a host of well-known personalities in attendance, alongside representatives from Al Jalila Foundation, the fundraising event was inspired by Rita’s personal journey and focused on empowering breast cancer warriors and survivors, with Jessica speaking beautifully on her mother’s behalf during the event stating “We are stronger together”.

Guests who participated in The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai’s award-winning afternoon tea hosted at The Lobby Lounge on 18 October enjoyed a specially created Ritz-Carlton, Dubai x Mama Rita savory and sweet and beverage creations as part of the bespoke Ritz-Carlton x Mama Rita afternoon tea, crafted in collaboration with Jessica and Rita, alongside signature Ritz-Carlton, Dubai sweet treats and desserts.

The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai x Mama Rita collaboration at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai is part of a series of events and activations taking place at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai throughout October, as part of the hotel’s month-long PINKtober activities to raise awareness and funds for Al Jalila Foundation, while celebrating survivors and supporting those currently battling breast cancer.

The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai is marking #PINKtober with special packages including the indulgent Sparkling Pink afternoon tea in the decadent, award winning Lobby Lounge and a Wellness Daycation offering at the hotels opulent spa.   During the last weekend of October, there will also be a range of activities taking place to celebrate the occasion, including The Pink Ladies Day at La Baie on Friday, London Social will be going pink on Saturday and a one off Pink Sunset event at Caña by Tamoka on Sunday. With each of these offerings, 20% off the proceeds will be donated to one of the UAE’s leading breast cancer charity, the Al Jalila foundation.
