Gartner Survey Finds Rise in Business Technologists is Driving Funding for Tech Purchases Outside of IT

Tech Buying Experiences to Be Discussed at Gartner Tech Growth & Innovation Conference, July 12-13, 2022

DUBAI, UAE., April 19, 2022 — Seventy-four percent of technology purchases are funded, at least partially, by business units (BUs) outside of IT, according to a recent Gartner, Inc. survey. Only 26% of technology investments are funded entirely by the IT organization.
