A billion-dollar opportunity: The future of retail is now

The Retail Summit 2022, the global, content-led event, is all set to return this month with major industry international leaders from across the globe. To be held on March 14 to 15 at Atlantis, The Palm, the flagship event will identify key data and analytics relevant to the growth, sustainability, and innovation of the global retail industry.

The summit, in partnership with Dubai Chamber of Commerce, brings together leading retail experts and uncovers their imperative role in leading the development of the global industry. This is particularly pressing at a time when technologies, Gen Z trends, and ecommerce effects on retail are now key elements in shaping the global industry’s roadmap.

According to recent studies conducted by Kearney in 2021, the United Arab Emirates national retail sales have reached USD 71 billion. In addition, the UAE urbanisation level is expected to reach 96% by 2030. The Retail Summit delivers presentations allowing this to be explored, including; “Fusing Fashion, Art & Automotive”; “The Global Economic Outlook In The New Normal”; and “Retail’s Trillion $ opportunities: Measuring In-store ROI Of Digital Ad Spend And Tracking CPG Sales In Fragmented Trade”. Not only that, several panel sessions are scheduled on the two-day agenda covering “E-commerce – The Jewel In Retail’s Crown”, “Sustainability: Not Just A Phase, It’s Our DNA”, “Exploring New Horizons: Revealing The Secrets To Success In Emerging Markets”, and more.

New speakers have joined The Retail Summit 2022 including Tapan Vaidya, CEO, Papa John’s UAE & KSA;Elizabeth Emanuel, Fashion Designer; Antonis Kyprianou, Group Franchise GM, Member of Tendam Executive Committee, Tendam.
