IACAD organizes a special event for Emirati Women’s Day

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai organized an online special event for Emirati Women’s Day, which falls on August 28 of each year to celebrate women’s achievements and contributions to the nation’s development. The event discussed different topics and reviewed the most important contributions they made in IACAD development process.

The event included a speech by His Excellency Hamad Al Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director General of IACAD, in which he prasied Emirati women, saying, “During the past fifty years, Emirati women have provided pioneering and vital roles in leading the successful comprehensive development process.” His Excellency added,“starting with the her family until she reaches space, based on the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who has constantly enhanced the ability of women to be part of the development projects that lead the UAEto the future.”

The event included a speech highlighting IACAD’s role in supporting Emirati women, in which Dr. Zahra Al Jabri, Senior Fatwa Specialist, talked about how IACADis supporting the educational process of female employees. Maryam Al Marri, Head of the Recruitment section, addressed the leading role of women in the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department.

Mohammed bin Rashid Islamic CultureCenter has hosted 3 of business women, to look closely at the perspective of Emirati women through the eyes of the communities who have lived through Dubai and the UAE at different stages, which is celebrated by everyone and that everyone gets a share to express their feelings and what they see towards Emirati women.

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department is working to achieve the national strategy for women’s empowerment and leadership in the United Arab Emirates by developing plans that ensure the integration of roles between men and women, to build a strong and cohesive society.
