Artificial intelligence and edge computing: a match made in IT heaven

Artificial intelligence (AI) and edge computing are certainly both industry buzzwords in their own right. Implementation of AI by businesses has grown 270 percent in the past four years, while enterprises will spend an average of 30 percent of their IT budgets on edge cloud computing over the next three years. However, as both technologies continue to mature, they are increasingly being included together in IT leader’s decision-making. The two technologies go hand in hand – AI is now a key use case for edge computing and edge is a significant enabler for AI.
