Dubai-UAE: 08 November, 2020 – The COVID 19 pandemic has been challenging for many and has directly or indirectly affected lifestyles, behaviors as well as attitudes. Understanding this, the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS), a regional leader in banking and finance education and training hosted a webinar with the author of the bestselling novel ‘The Lemonade Life’, Zack Friedman.
Convening more than 350 members from the banking and finance industry, the session by Friedman highlighted the need to connect purpose with possibility and action as well as developing a fresh perspective and a goal-oriented approach. Key takeaways also included the importance of taking independent decisions, being self-aware and having a positive mindset to overcome challenges and to live a meaningful and fulfilled life.
Speaking on the webinar, Jamal Al Jassmi, General Manager of EIBFS, said: “We understand how mentally challenging the uncertainty of the pandemic has proved to be for so many people in the UAE. To this end, we at EIBFS decided on hosting this session with Zack Friedman to help our participants see the brighter side of life by making positive behavioral switches. We are pleased with the feedback we have received and believe that the webinar further complements our overall efforts to engage members of the banking and finance sector well beyond business-related subjects.”
For his part, Zack Friedman, said: “It was a pleasure to speak at EIBFS with financial leaders across the region. The message of ‘The Lemonade Life’ is more important now than ever before. When you lead with purpose and possibility, you have more power to fuel success and create happiness. That holds true for anyone who wants to ensure positive change in their own life, in the lives of customers they serve, or in communities where they create impact.”
The interactive session also covered a number of personality building exercises and served as a platform for participants to share their experiences and anecdotes from their lives.
