Park Hyatt Dubai Commits to GBAC STAR™ Facility Accreditation Program

Implementing the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease

Dubai, 11th October 2020 – Park Hyatt Dubai has announced its commitment to achieve Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation, the gold standard for prepared facilities. Under the guidance of GBAC, a Division of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, Park Hyatt Dubai will implement the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention in its facilities.

As the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation, GBAC STAR™ helps organizations establish protocols and procedures, offers expert-led training and assesses a facility’s readiness for biorisk situations. The program will verify that Park Hyatt Dubai implements best practices to prepare for, respond to and recover from outbreaks and pandemics.

“We are fully committed to providing our guests with the cleanest and healthiest environment, now more than ever these measures are axiomatic. GBAC STAR™ accreditation will ensure we are fully up to speed with the most cutting- edge disinfection techniques and protocols for biorisk situations,” said Park Hyatt Dubai Managing Director, Stephan Schupbach.

To achieve GBAC STAR™ accreditation, Park Hyatt Dubai will demonstrate compliance with the program’s 20 core elements, which range from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment and emergency preparedness and response measures.
