Aman Modak appointed as head chef of Distillery Gastropub
Distillery proudly reveals the promotion of Aman from sous chef to head chef
Dubai, UAE, September 8, 2020 – Distillery Gastropub is proud to announce the promotion of Aman Modak to head chef. Formerly sous chef of the kitchen, chef Aman brings wealth of experience to the role having previously worked at some of Dubai’s leading restaurants including The Loft at Dubai Opera, Le Cirque at The Ritz-Carlton DIFC, and Brasserie Quartier at The St. Regis Dubai.
Commenting on his new role, Aman said: “I am very excited to take on this new challenge and elevate the menu at Distillery, keeping things fresh and inviting for our customers. I’m very grateful for the team I work with and the support I receive both in and out of the kitchen”.
In his position as head chef, Aman will launch a new menu at Distillery later this month, including a completely new a la carte menu, revamped Tuesday ladies’ night menu, and Wednesday night evening brunch menu.

I am very glad to have Aman leading the Distillery culinary team and creating interactive dining experiences for our guests”.
Aman found his love for cooking at young age while spending time in the kitchen with his mother and grandmother. He moved to Dubai from his home country of India at the age of 19, where his career as a chef truly began. Starting as a commis chef in The Ritz Carlton DIFC’s Cara Restaurant, his culinary journey took him to many of Dubai’s greatest kitchens, including Le Cirque Restaurant, Brasserie Quartier in The Ritz Carlton Dubai, and The Loft at Dubai Opera.
