Mercato partners with UNHCR to raise funds for refugees and displaced people in Yemen and Lebanon.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR, is organising a donation campaign in collaboration with Mercato and Town Centre Jumeriah, under the themes, ” stand with Lebanon” and “Yemen can’t wait”.
The campaign and the booths invites shoppers to meet and interact with UNHCR staff and learn more about the plight of refugees and internally displaced people in Lebanon and Yemen, while providing them the opportunity to donate on the ground to their cause of choosing.

This awareness and fundraising campaign, will allow visitors to the malls the chance to both express their solidarity with those forced to flee from their homes in search of safety, and provide financial support that will help displaced families pay for their basic necessities such as rent, food, and education, in dignity.
