Dubai, August 11, 2020: Taj Dubai and Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers, the two award-winning hotels of the iconic Taj brand in the Middle East will celebrate India’s 74th Independence Day on Saturday, 15th August with two epicurean experiences for an indulgent and memorable celebration.


Explore the traditions of yesteryear’s princely states of India at Bombay Brasserie, Taj Dubai

Bombay Brasserie, the Burj district’s Designer Indian Kitchen, invites guests to celebrate the occasion with a decadent three-course menu highlighting the culinary heritage of India. Starting at AED 225 per person, each course takes guests on a gourmet journey through the hearts of Indian regions emphasizing the revival of traditional flavors. With both Non-Vegetarian and Vegetarian options, highlights from the entrées are Aloo Chokha from Cooch Behar, and Lamb Barra Kebab, and Achaari Paneer from the Rajputana region. Mains from Hyderabad and Punjab include, a richly flavoured Kache Gosht Ki Biryani and Punjabi Sarson Ka Saag, served with Makki Roti. For dessert, guests can enjoy an assorted Mishti Platter, showcasing classic Bengali desserts, Jol Bhora Sandesh, Malai Chamcham and Kacha Gola. Available for dinner only, on 15th August, 6 PM onwards.


Experience the flair of Modern India at Shamiana, Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai

Guests are invited to explore contemporary pan-Indian cuisine at Shamiana, the international outpost of Mumbai’s iconic restaurant, renowned for world-class dishes and genuine service since 1973. With an evolved modern interpretation of classic flavours, guests can celebrate with a reimagined and eclectic three-course menu. Starting at AED 195 per person inclusive of soft beverages, the menu includes both Non-Vegetarian and Vegetarian options. Highlights from the menu include Mulligatawny Chicken Soup, Paneer and Chowki Mutter Tikka, Tandoori Lamb Chops and Zaffrani Salmon, all served alongside an assortment of freshly baked Indian breads.  For dessert, guests can savour a trio of Shamiana’s signature desserts including Gajar Halwa, Ilaneer Payasam and Ras Malai. Guests can also select the house beverage package at AED 345 per person. Available for lunch and dinner on 15th August, 12 PM and 6:30 PM onwards respectively.
