Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 2 August 2020: Emirati star Hussain Al Jassmi and Lebanese artist Yara each delivered a perfect performance at the MBC Hope Charity Concert at Dubai Opera last night as part of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) and Eid in Dubai celebrations.

Marking the start of Dubai’s Eid Al Adha celebrations, the audience of music lovers was treated to a sensational evening of song and celebration by Al Jassmi and Yara as well as some of the best young singers from the popular regional talent show, ‘The Voice Kids’.


The first live Arabic music show in the city since the easing of lockdown rules, organisers ensured all of the important health and safety precautions were strictly followed before, during and after the event.


Al Jassmi, a much loved singer and popular entertainer across the region, wowed his fans with renditions of some of his most popular songs along with famous Khaleeji and regional classics, while the glamorous pop singer Yara dazzled fans with her amazing vocal performance. The Voice Kids singers then took turns to perform a selection of the latest Arabic and international hits as well as songs from the hugely popular TV show, making this a night to remember.


Organised to raise funds to help needy children across the region whose lives have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, all proceeds from the concert were donated to UNICEF to support its many humanitarian projects and causes.


The 23rd edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (9 July until 29 August 2020) is part of Dubai’s annual Retail Calendar that features major retail-based festivals, mega sales and exclusive retail experiences and attractions.
