A mechanical engineer-turned peace envoy and Yogi, Girin Govind has been travelling the world for almost two decades to teach most authentic and profound Yoga and meditation techniques designed by world-renowned spiritual leader, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. He has since brought the science and art of breathing right to hundreds of thousands of distressed people across the globe, including Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, China, Italy, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq and the UAE. Girin isn’t an ordinary yogi, he believes in bringing peace to violence- and war-torn places where people need it the most.
A well-respected and recognized member of India’s Yoga community, Girin is a member of Quality Council of India’s Technical Committee for Yoga Certification. He is also on the Advisory Board of The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, Delhi, under Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India. as well is a and Director, Sri Sri School of Yoga. Girin also worked as the personal secretary to Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, under whose tutelage Girin trained to become a Yoga teacher and a trainer.
