IACAD oversees the remote learning for 35 Islamic institutions and a memorization center

The Department of Islamic Institutions at the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai oversees the activation of the remote learning for 35 Islamic institutions and Holy Qur’an memorizing centers in Dubai. This confirms IACAD’s keenness to ensure the provision of educational and technical resources in light of the current health conditions to achieve the required learning outcomes in line with the approved standards and practices.

Dr. Omar Al-Khatib, Executive Director of the Islamic Affairs Sector, stressed that keeping pace with the events by not being affected by the current health conditions, will contribute positively in raising the level of safety and reassurance among members of society. IACAD supervised the Islamic institutions and Holy Qur’an memorizing centers educational plans and programs.

Al-Khatib stated that the efficiency of remote learning, a process that has a continuous support and care from our leadership, demonstrated the quality of the educational process in all circumstances through the visual communication platforms.

For his part, Jassem Al-Khazraji, Director of the Islamic Institutions Department, stated that the number of the Holy Qur’an memorizing centers that applied the remote learning reached 24 centers. Whereas the number of Islamic institutions that applied the remote learning system reached 11 institutions.

Al-Khazraji explained that the standards of remote learning was one of the developing systems outputs for evaluating the Islamic institutions and memorizing centers supervised by IACAD, on which these institutions and centers have already been evaluated.

Al-Khazraji said, “The current challenges must be taken as an opportunity that must be exploited optimally.”

The number of students affiliated with remote learning in the memorization centers reached 1368 male students and 4,532 female students, while the number of students affiliated with remote learning in Islamic institutions reached 1724 male students and 2573 female students, with 10197 students in total.
