Marks & Spencer launches first ever CHEESE Easter Eggs
Great news for cheese fans as savoury alternatives to chocolate eggs have launched
Marks & Spencer has launched the country’s first ever cheese Easter eggs as a great tasty and convenient alternative for those who prefer savoury treats to chocolate. The new six wax-covered Mini Cheesy Eggs are made with British Barber’s Farmhouse Cheddar and a vintage 18-month matured Red Leicester “yolk”.
Marks & Spencer Product Developer, Rosie Eiduks, said: “We know those with a more savoury-tooth can sometimes feel left out of the fun at Easter, so this year, we wanted to create a great option for cheese lovers too! Not only are the Mini Cheesy Eggs delicious but they are made with our quality Barber’s Farmhouse Cheddar and a vintage Red Leicester yolk. They will look beautiful served on an Easter lunch cheeseboard, sliced into a sandwich or salad, or loaded on top of crackers.”
The new Cheese Easter Eggs are available at Springs Souk and Marina Walk.
Did you know?… the award-winning Cheddar in the new Marks & Spencer Cheese Easter Eggs comes from Barber’s Farmhouse in Somerset, England – founded six generations ago in 1833 and now one of the world’s oldest surviving cheesemakers.
