MR P. LAUNCHES ITS LATEST COLLECTION FOR SPRING 2020

MR P. LAUNCHES ITS LATEST COLLECTION FOR SPRING 2020

Mr P., the own-label brand from the award-winning online men’s style destination MR PORTER, debuts its latest collection for spring 2020.

Launching on-site from the 20 January with product dropping throughout the season, the new collection is designed to reflect the best in contemporary menswear while also complementing the building blocks of
Mr P.’s core range of enduring classics. Mr P.’s spring collection takes its inspiration from “Ametora”, or “American Traditional” in Japanese, which defines an era and an ongoing trend in Japanese menswear that celebrates American classics. Highlights from the collection include a varsity green cardigan, a navy and stone baseball jacket and double-pleat front trousers, which all champion the theme. Japan and Japanese craft play throughout the collection with workwear pieces such as a black selvedge crop chino and an indigo chore jacket, both made using Japanese fabrics. A series of printed camp-collar shirts, inspired by traditional Japanese kimonos, were developed and sit alongside Mr P.’s signature selvedge denim and sock ranges which are all produced in Japan.

Outerwear highlights include a suede workwear jacket with patch pocket details and a double-faced parka in khaki and stone which returns this season in a new boxy silhouette.

In all, the latest Mr P. collection of trend-led seasonal pieces alongside everyday essentials reinforces the brand’s leading maxims: Easy pieces. Smart details. Enduring Style. Each season, the collection expands, and is one of MR PORTER’s fastest growing labels, now ranking in the top 10 best performing brands on-site.
