SECOND DAY OF DSF GRAND OPENING AT BURJ PARK ATTRACTS MORE THAN 25,000 VISITORS
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 28 December 2019: Two international pop sensations? Check! A second day of alfresco festival fun? Check! Fireworks lighting up the skies across the entire city? Check, check, check! Day two of the 25th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) was a huge success with more than 25,000 visitors gathering in Burj Park, Downtown Dubai, to enjoy the line-up of events and activities that officially launched the milestone 38-day festival.
Former One Direction superstar Liam Payne and singer songwriter Jorja Smith wowed the crowds at the free-to-attend concerts, taking to the stage after the sun went down on an afternoon of family activities in the park, in the shadow of the Burj Khalifa.
The much loved fireworks sparkled across the city at The Dubai Frame followed by The Beach, La Mer then Al Seef while music aficionados attended the first of its kind hologram concert for the late Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum at Dubai Opera – while fans of Pakistani singer Rahat Ali Khan enjoyed his smash-hit performance at Coca-Cola Arena in City Walk.
The shopping festival runs until 1 February 2020 bringing the city together for a non-stop calendar of thrilling entertainment, promotions and chances to win big.
