OSN and Kris Fade partner to launch the search for the next Oscars co-host
The journey to the red carpet will be covered in a six-part reality show broadcast exclusively by OSN, the home of the Oscars
Dubai, UAE; 04 December 2019: OSN, the region’s leading entertainment network, is partnering with media personality Kris Fade to launch the search for a female co-host for Kris as he covers the Oscars on the red carpet. The Oscars will be brought to the region on 10th February, exclusively by OSN.
As the official broadcaster of the Academy Awards, OSN has had a presence on the red carpet for the last five years. This year, however, they are taking things to the next level by giving aspiring presenters the chance to join Kris Fade on the red carpet to present all the action live from the show.
OSN will chart the journey of the winning participant through a six-part reality show which will capture the different elements of the competition. The show will kick-off with Kris shortlisting entries to select the finalists, followed by the bootcamp phase that will feature an elimination task to select the final three, then the training phase of the three finalists hosted by OSN experts as well as Kris. The next episodes will chart the winner’s journey to LA and preparation ahead of the big night with the final episode featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the event itself as well as reactions from the winning participant.
Emad Morcos, Chief Content Officer at OSN says, “OSN is all about bringing exclusive entertainment content to the region and we are proud to have been the home of the Oscars for the last five years. This year, we wanted to take it up a notch to get even closer to our customers. We urge all those who think they’ve got what it takes to be a match for Kris on the red carpet to get involved and who knows – their dreams could become a reality!”
The show will launch on 10th Jan at 19.45 UAE/20:45 KSA. Weekly episodes will air every Friday at 19.45 UAE/20:45 KSA time for six consecutive weeks.
Kris Fade added, “This isn’t a job for the faint-hearted – I’m looking for the best of the best to help me bring all the news and gossip from the red carpet directly into your homes. I loved every minute of working with OSN for the Oscars last year and I’m looking forward to sharing this experience with one of you.”
Budding presenters should head to www.osn.com/oscars to submit their video and be in with a chance of winning. The competition closes on 19th December.
