IACAD forms a team to establish ‘Jurists and Experts Academy’
Dubai, 4 December, 2019: The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) announced the formation of ‘Studying the establishment of Jurists and Experts Academy’ team. The team is headed by Mr. Ali Hassan Al Marzouqi, Director of the Research Department, as well as certain employees of IACAD.
The move is to identify scientific best practices that are aligned with the Islamic affairs sector.
The team is entrusted with several tasks, most important of which is to carry out the necessary studies to ensure the goals of the Jurists and Experts Academy initiative are achieved. Furthermore, the team, in cooperation with other academies and research centres, is also responsible for benchmarking the academy. This is in order to assess the feasibility of the project and present it to the Executive Director of the Islamic Affairs Sector.
The chosen team also works on IACAD’s periodic reports, identifies weaknesses and strengths, as well as opportunities for improvement – the reports are then submitted to the Executive Director of the Islamic Affairs Sector. This is to evaluate the implementation of various initiatives, and includes brainstorming workshops to discuss the findings with specialists, thus identifying optimal solutions and recommendations.
