19th November 2019, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The prestigious Saudi Trade Finance Awards honouring the best in the Kingdom’s finance & banking industry concluded last week.

The coveted awards ceremony took place in conjunction with 7th Annual Saudi Trade Finance Summit which and attended by over 250 top financial leaders from leading corporates, trade corporations, banking and financial institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and highlighted the exceptional work undertaken in the field of finance.
The Saudi Trade Finance Awards, have an aspirational element, as they have been recognizing success, vision and innovation for many years. The Awards honour industry leaders from corporates & banks who have successfully implemented innovative strategies and contributed to the overall growth of the economy of the Kingdom.
Some of the major banks in Saudi Arabia like Saudi British Bank, Banque Saudi Fransi, Gulf International Bank, Sidra Capital, First Abu Dhabi Bank were recognised and felicitated for their outstanding contribution to the Kingdom’s finance sector.

Winning the Chief Financial Officer of the Year, Private Sector, Mohammed Salim Patka, Chief Financial Officer, BinDawood & Danube says “This award is a testament to my staff and colleagues at BinDawood & Danube and a recognition of the dedication, loyalty and integrity we bring to the business every day.”
On the same note, Rawabi Holding won the Treasury Team of the Year, Private Sector Ahmad AlShubbar, VP Group Treasury and Strategy, Rawabi Holding, claims, “The recognition of the team effort and hard work doing the year only gives us the fuel to start working harder for another year of success. Winning is a journey, not a destination.”

On the other hand, Ma’aden bagged the Treasury Team of the Year under the Public sector. Commenting on the team’s win, Fawaz Al Enazi, Group Treasurer, Ma’aden says “I feel honored that my team’s achievement has been recognized. This award will give a positive impact on my team and definitely for other teams in future.”
The 7th Annual Saudi Trade Finance Summit was supported by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and Small & Medium Enterprises General Authority SMEA (Monsha’at); Hosted under the theme of “Enabling the Kingdom’s vision for a better future”. The Summit has a history of bringing together the most influential trade associates along with key stakeholders and CFOs, heads of treasury & finance as well as leading banks and financial institutions under one roof to strike thought-provoking conversations with respect to financial regulations, strategies, and trends that shape the Kingdom’s economy.
